Firefly NightFirefly Night   
The fireflies were out last night  They lit up the trees and made them all bright.  I so wanted to share this wonderful sight  
With you, whom I wished were holding me tight.  But earlier that day, we'd had a big fight   
And I thought you didn't love me even in spite  Of all your sweet words with the day's early light.  I put my head in my hands and tried to fight  To ward off the tears, at my lip I did bite.   
Then I heard my name called, so softly, as if a small sprite  Had been sent in my sorrow, to torture me that night.  But I heard it again, lo Firefly Night

BurnedThe flame dances and sways in front of me  Tantalizing  Sweat beads upon my brow  As the flame flickers towards me  Little by little  I push back into a corner  My mind cloudy but screaming,  
Stay away!  It circles around me,  Reflections dancing in my eyes  Closing in  My mouth is dry, I lick my burning lips  My lungs trying to filter the smoke  Hard to breath  The flame touches my skin, burning  I watch as it travels up my body  No pain  My head hits the wall, my body consumed  It’s so warm… feels so good…  So good  My mind is Burned

I don't post much of anything here, as I am sure whoever might be reading this has noticed.

Truth of the matter is, I've been in a creative slump. I was hoping that the flood gates might open after I got out of school, but it seems that the river of creative juices have slowed to a trickle.

I can't think of anything to draw or paint, the only place that I have made a little headway has been in writing. I've been doing more short stories instead of poetry. I've also been debating posting a few snippets of what I've got working, but I don't know if it even worth it.

I don't know... any thoughts or interest?
